Step into the warmth of the holidays on West 4th Ave, where the spirit of the season shines through community, connection, and the simple joys that make this time of year truly magical.

As the Grinch wisely said, “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store… maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more.”

This year, West 4th is embracing that spirit. Yes, we have the perfect finds for everyone on your list — from fashion-forward friends and devoted foodies to skincare lovers, outdoor explorers, and even the tiniest (and furriest) members of the family. But for Kitsmas 2025, we’re inviting you to slow down and savour what truly matters.

Strike up a conversation while you shop, share a smile over coffee, or connect with someone new at your next workout class. Because the real magic of the holidays lives in those small, meaningful moments that bring us closer together.

Here’s how we’re celebrating every little thing on West 4th this season…

Free parking during the holiday season? On a weekend? You heard that right.

This December, the West 4th Ave BIA is making your holiday shopping a little easier (and a lot merrier) by covering two hours of parking on Sundays leading up to Christmas on Sunday December 7th, 14th and 21st. Linger a little longer, browse your favourite shops, and soak in the spirit of the season — on us.

Parking is still monitored & Restrictions apply - Please read carefully before you park.

Shop West 4th or any businesses are not responsible for tickets or payment. Side streets not included. Parking is monitored, time after two hours or outside the listed times must be paid or risk of ticket.

Free 2 hour parking Sunday December 7, 14 & 21 between Balsam & Fir on metered spots. Applies between 9AM to 6PM, outside of these hours please revert to parking restrictions listed on city signs. Applies to valid metered spots only, does not apply to parkades, lots, no parking/stopping signs and other parking locations. Refer to map - only metered spots in the bright red marked areas are applicable. Have questions? Shoot us a Instagram DM to @shopwest4th or reach out to exec.dir@shopwest4th.com

“In an age of overnight shipping and digital wish lists, we wanted to remind Vancouverites what makes holiday shopping special. It’s about taking the time to chat with your barista, finding that perfect gift from a local shopkeeper, and being part of a community that still values connection over clicks.”

Jane McFadden, Executive Director of the Kitsilano 4th Avenue BIA.
