In partnership with the City of Vancouver, TransLink is pleased to share the completion of bus bulbs at six bus stops on West 4th Ave.
Bus bulbs extend curbs into the parking lane so that buses can pick up or drop off customers without exiting the travel lane. Bus bulbs eliminate the need for buses to merge in and out of traffic at stops, making your journey faster and more reliable.
Bus bulbs enable transit customers to comfortably wait without blocking the sidewalk, creating more space for walkable streets and community amenities such as patio seating, bike racks, or loading zones
Steel plates will replace the plywood perimeter of the bus bulbs at a later date. In partnership with the City of Vancouver and the BIA, community murals have also been painted on the concrete barriers.
Two parking spots have been added to the neighbourhood
